Not only does it feature a phenomenal cast of characters and some of the most brilliantly-crafted levels in the genre, its soundtrack is awe-inspiring. On the other hand, Sackboy: A Big Adventure is bursting with spectacle from start to finish. Plus, the absurd amount of references to PlayStation games both mainstream and obscure is absolutely wonderful to see on display. For starters, Astro's Playroom has an overall infectiously energetic vibe that's sure to put a smile on your face. No matter which one you prefer, there's no denying that playing Astro's Playroom and Sackboy: A Big Adventure is an absolute delight and for different reasons. Sackboy: A Big Adventure's gadgets are basically incorporated into the core gameplay so you'll still be running and jumping around but you may have a boomerang, grappling hook, or sticky feet to help you accomplish some pretty nifty tasks. Each one of these gadgets makes the gameplay completely different as you'll find yourself taking advantage of motion controls, the touchpad, and other features in supremely clever ways. Meanwhile, Sackboy: A Big Adventure also has tons of secrets scattered across its stages although the levels are mostly designed in a more linear fashion and mastering them relies on your ability to quickly solve puzzles, conquer tricky platforming segments, and deal with pesky enemies.
