“I AM IRON MAN! ” says one of our senior managers (more on that below). Iron Man LEGO minifigures and merch often feature on staff members desks. Maybe that’s why he is such a hit with our tech people in StoryToys. Just like Batman, Iron Man has no superpowers and relies on his tech inventions to defeat the villains. Also, we think throwing a shield to defeat the enemy is pretty cool. Once he becomes Captain America, Steve Rogers remains humble and is willing to do whatever it takes to save the world. Our CEO and our head of engineering both love the Cap! Patriotic, brave, and chivalrous, Like Superman, Captain America is a great role model for young boys everywhere (Not just American kids). Not only does she have every power that Spider-Man has, but she’s also a spy and super sleuth. It’s a big hit with our little Spider-fans. We love the new animated series Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends which is available on Disney Junior and Disney+. as well as other kids who may have felt underrepresented in the superhero lore of the past. Peter, Miles and Gwen are awesome role models for girls as well as boys. He’s been a classic hero for more than 50 years and people love him more than ever!Īnd with the addition of new characters in the Spiderverse – Spiderman now teaches kids about being inclusive. Okay, okay… if we’re going to talk about superheroes, it can’t be done without Spiderman. Here are some of our staff top Marvel character picks: Of course not all the movies are aimed at young children but there are plenty of reasons why Marvel characters inspire young kids through TV shows, games, books and toys. Marvel’s “Cinematic Universe” (MCU), is officially the highest-earning franchise in movie history, outperforming both the Star Wars and Harry Potter movie universes combined. We’ve been thinking a lot about Marvel Characters this month in StoryToys.

Indeed, African Americans account for approximately 52% of those who have died from HIV. These disparities along the HIV care continuum significantly contribute to worse overall health, risk of early morbidity, and heighted HIV-related burden compared to other racial/ethnic groups. African Americans have poorer outcomes along the HIV care continuum, including decreased retention in care, lower likelihood of having an antiretroviral therapy (ART) prescription, worse ART adherence, and lower likelihood of achieving viral suppression. In 2017, African Americans accounted for 42% of new HIV diagnoses in the United States, nearly 8 times the rate of infection among non-Hispanic Whites. As national rates of HIV diagnosis are declining, incident rates among African Americans remain the highest among racial/ethnic groups. The FHCSD staff monitors and tracks participants’ daily SMS text message responses to ART adherence reminders using a clinical dashboard.Īcross the United States, African Americans are disproportionally affected by HIV compared to other racial or ethnic groups, accounting for approximately 42% of persons with HIV (PWH). Problems related to sending/receiving SMS text messages and barriers to ART adherence are assessed at each interim study visit. Self-assessment measures are collected at baseline, interim, and final study visits. Participants were assisted in individualizing and customizing their SMS text message preferences at the baseline study visit. A total of 90 participants from the FHCSD enrolled in the iTAB intervention, and we anticipate completing data collection in July 2020. Study enrollment began in November 2017 and closed in July 2019. Patient inclusion criteria were (1) receiving care at the FHCSD, (2) living with HIV, (3) self-identification as Black, African American, or of African ancestry, (4) English speaking, (5) age 18 or older, (6) currently on ART, and (7) able to provide informed consent. Participants were recruited from the Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD), a federally qualified health center. We developed a culturally tailored iTAB intervention, which we are implementing in a 24- to 48-week, single-arm study. The Seoul Metropolitan Government should think a lot about this. Who knows. Ultimately it is very different to the other survival games, as they all differ from each other. Something about brood queen spider mothers, caves, giant towers that apparently have story in them. We are still trying to find out the full situation but there are mini quests. Eventually guns, taming a wide variety of animals and huge fortresses will be attainable (in its current state too). For example I made spears for my buddies while they made pick axes. It has an RPG ish system that means you can focus on things that your friends dont have. The map isnt huge huge and global chat means making friends (and enemies) is easy. The fact that finding people is easy helps a lot too. Building a fortress is so easy with 3 of us doing it. Its hard, the better the dino the harder it gets. Taming is done better than the other survival games. Everything I need is around, it is just up to me to what I do with it. Now this game is different (I love Dayz to be clear) to the others because. Yes, I do watch all of Jim Stirling's videos. Question is, where does it see itself in a year? The same game with less of a playerbase and a load of promised features that take forever to come? Or that, just with maybe some more features, but still nobody'll be playing it because a couple of hundred over games turned up on Steam that offered the exact same thing in the mean time. In other words Youtube bait, but there's no substance to them. Wyrmalla wrote: So how is this different from the dozens of other survival games on Steam right now? It doesn't have zombies, OK what else? I watched videos of it and it just looks like the Stomping Grounds (hell the features are the same), with a bit of that medieval game where you can become King thrown in. Without that, I might as well build my own Linux-based firewall and manually configure the packages. CLI might be fine for some people and under some environments, but why bother when other free options give you a GUI? To me the whole point of a firewall distro is its web GUI. To be totally honest, I didn't give this one much of a chance because I was hunting for distros with web GUIs. * No GUI usually means a light build and nimble performance. * It has a growing fan-base, particularly among network engineer types that prefer router-like, CLI-only environments. * The package system was a bit rough around the edges-it was hard to tell what I was installing as there were few package descriptions. * package system allows installing add-on features While packages like snort and squid behave very well for me others like modsecurity drive me batty. This situation has improved as the distro has matured, but I wish they would stop listing buggy alpha-level packages in the add-on repository. Some add-on packages just don't work very well, and updating a package sometimes broke it. * Add-on packages and package updating could be better. You have to put some time & effort into learning it, especially if you're going to use the add-on packages. * Not as simple and easy to understand as Untangle. * has a vast following, so the documentation & forums helped me get my head around it * light and nimble-much faster boot-up/shutdown than Untangle You can get it to land space ships on Mars. * Most feature-rich free firewall distro I've ever used. * free version is very functional-plenty of features for most home networks * very easy to setup & get up and running quickly Here's a list of what I found along with my impressions. But I did notice some common themes-several of them seemed to share common ancestors / packages (e.g. I thought I had my work cut out for me since I found far more of them than I had expected. I tried just about every ISO I could get my hands on. open source community projects ("free as in speech" or free software / paid support biz models). companies with an open source community branch or free non-trial version, and 2. I scoured the internet, downloading any and all offerings from 2 principal types of entities: 1. I began my hunt for the best free firewall. However, I figured since most all those features are covered by the open source community, there must be non-commercial options out there. Being wrapped around a commercial product, Untangle charges money for its high-end features. I've been a hard-core Untangle fan for several years now, but I recently wanted to explore other firewall options. Lucid to Mir for a five month visit, increasing Mir's occupancy from 2 to 3. In late March 1996, Atlantis shuttled astronaut Shannon W. Sporting spindly appendages and solar panels, Mir resembles a whimsical flying insect hovering about 350 kilometers above New Zealand's South Island and the city of Nelson near Cook Strait. This dream-like image of Mir was recorded by astronauts as the Space Shuttle Atlantis approached the Russian space station prior to docking during the STS-76 mission. For location, Hesiodus and Pitatus are circled at the bottom of the picture. In the inset, the larger crater Pitatus is at the right. This picture of a first quarter Moon was recorded at 23:45 UT on February 22nd from Stuttgart, Germany. Seen in Hesiodus and other craters, the ray timing can be calculated based on the observer's location. Sunrise rays are short-lived and can be rewarding to spot for Moon enthusiasts with telescopes. Streaming through a gap in the eastern wall of 45 kilometer wide Hesiodus crater, the low-angle sunlight produces a long sunrise ray playing along the otherwise shadowed crater floor. But the picture's inset at the left highlights a more elusive lunar sunrise phenomenon. Of course, if viewed from the lunar surface near the terminator line, the Sun would be rising and still close to the lunar horizon. Stark shadows of mountains and crater walls stand out along the lunar terminator, or shadow line between night and day, in this telescopic image. Stephan's Quintet lies within the boundaries of the high flying constellation Pegasus. Of course, including it would bring the four interacting galaxies back up to quintet status. Still, captured in this field above and to the left of Stephan's Quintet is another galaxy, NGC 7320C, that is also 300 million light-years distant. The mostly bluish galaxy, NGC 7320, is in the foreground about 40 million light-years distant, and isn't part of the interacting group. They also tend to have distorted loops and tails, grown under the influence of disruptive gravitational tides. The interacting galaxies, NGC 7319, 7318A, 7318B, and 7317 have a more dominant yellowish cast. The galaxies of the quintet are gathered near the center of the field, but really only four of the five are locked in a cosmic dance of repeated close encounters taking place some 300 million light-years away.
