Graphics look a bit different, if not the same. This mod does a great job at saving some VRAM and improving the performance to a large extent. Sometimes while playing Kenshi, you might get an error where it states that your PC has an insufficient amount of VRAM. Lack of foliage gives more opportunities for outpost creation Zones particularly filled with foliage are less FPS-consuming This mod removes objects such as rocks, grass, trees, and many other useless things that make you unable to place your outpost in a cool place - also greatly improves your performance and makes zones such as Vain, Dreg, etc. This mod makes Kenshi look even more of a wasteland than before! Particles and foliage fix (performance and FPS boost) Disables the massive vines in The Swamp(removing them improves your vision in the swamps) Disables insignificant things, such as birds, drones, etc It provides you with an even larger performance boost! This is an addon that disables meaningless things that pretty much nobody pays attention to, such as birds, these stupid drones that fly and do nothing in the Ashlands, and particles mostly reduced. Although it disables cool things like the Fog in the Foglands, it’s worth it due to the massive performance spike! This is a mod for players that have incredibly potato’ish PCs that can barely run Mario. This mod is awesome if you’re lucking for a powerful performance boost, at the cost of turning off particles entirely. Disables the annoying duststorms the rain that covers 90% of your screen This mod is awesome for improving your performance and also greatly improving your vision in areas like The Great Desert, Vain, etc, where rain and duststorms are very common! This mod is awesome if you want to disable the weather effects, such as the fog, the rain, or the duststorms. The Terrapin Station project was detailed in an article in 'The Music Box', March 1998, by John Metzger, where it was described as '.an interactive museum, sensory playground and social/cultural laboratory.' The 1997 CD, a high quality live recording of a complete, uncut show at the Capital Centre, Landover, Maryland, 15th March 1990 (bassist Phil Lesh's 50th birthday) is described as having 'beautiful artwork' and a 'fold-out poster from Mouse and Kelley, creators of the original 1977 Terrapin Station cover, is tucked away inside the package.' The turtle images used by Mouse and Kelley on the 1977 album were influenced by those of German artist Heinrich Kley and these had previously featured on Wes Wilson's poster design for the Turtles' concert at the Fillmore in July 1966. Terrapin Station was produced by Keith Olsen and recorded at Sound City Studios in Southern California. Terrapins are my favorite Grateful Dead logo, beating the wonderful. The band's 1997 'Terrapin Station' CD release was an initial part of the fund-raising and this artwork, a significantly updated version of the image used on the band's 1977 album of the same name, was reworked for use on the 1997 release. Terrapin Station in one of my top five Dead tunes and one whole side is dedicated to it. This was an ambitious project, ultimately unrealized, to open a venue at the turn of the Millennium to be used as a concert hall, multi-media center/museum for the band and to house other related events such as displays for the various charities the Grateful Dead supported over the years. Speaking publicly for the first time ever, Chicago-born identical twins Jay and Peter Flores share the incredible story of how they went from dealing $2 billion worth of drugs across the country as North America’s most successful cocaine traffickers, to government informants who brought down the infamous drug lord, “El Chapo.”įorever taunted by the gnawing question of “Did we do the right thing?” the brothers’ decision has cost them permanent exile from eachother, their father’s life, 14 years in prison, and a life sentence of always looking over their shoulder, waiting for their enemies to take revenge. According to Dead lyricist Robert Hunter, he and Jerry Garcia composed the words and music to this song simultaneously (and unbeknownst to each other) while watching an electrical storm crackle over San. Terrapin station - 2nd half of song - Inspiration - move me brightly Terrapin - the end repeating riffs (in later days often lead into drums during shows)-with 3/18/77 as the exception, this is all that was ever played in concert Terrapin Transit - trippy slidework on album instrumental section leads into a different jam sequence with vocals. The Grateful Deads Terrapin Station is one of that band’s most beloved compositions, and its genesis is a miracle in its own right. Hosted and executive produced by award-winning artist and producer Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson and broadcaster and journalist Charlie Webster. Surviving El Chapo: The Twins Who Brought Down a Drug Lord Why it's offensive: It's raunchy and superficial. The family is "proud of grandpa" for taking her untimely death well, and insists "It's not Christmas without Grandma." Santa Baby They wear black on Christmas to mourn her, and think about how grandma's wig matches the color of the blue and silver candles on the holiday table. Why it's great: It's a silly song and the family does miss their grandmother. Also, it doesn't seem like Santa Claus ever takes responsibility for the incident: "They should never give a license/To a man who drives a sleigh." Grandma drank too much eggnog, forgot her medication and took off, and was found by her family the next morning with "hoof-prints on her forehead." The singer wonders "Should we open up her gifts/Or send them back," as if that's the most important matter the day after their grandmother was killed. Why it's offensive: It's disrespectful and callous. The song was re-recorded three times with different musicians: in 19 for famine relief, and in 2014 for the Ebola crisis in West Africa. Why it's great: It raised millions of dollars for worth causes. The lines "And there won't be snow in Africa this Christmas time" and "No rain or rivers flow" are ignorant to the face that Africa does indeed see snow and has one of the longest rivers in the world, the Nile. The line "Well tonight thank God it's them/Instead of you" is seen as one of the most problematic, and Bono even changed the lyric when performing it in 2014 for Band Aid 30. Critics argue the lyrics promote a "white savior" complex and is condescending. The 1984 song, written by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure and performed by Band Aid, was in response to the famine in Ethiopia. When Santa and the other reindeer discover that Rudolph's nose is advantageous on a foggy night, everyone cheers for him and declares that he'll "go down in history." Corinne Conley, the voice of Sue in the 1964 film, said in an interview with TMZ that all of the issues are resolved at the end of the movie and that if anyone was a bully before, they would learn a valuable lesson at the end of the film. Why it's great: Rudolph triumphs in the end and eventually gains respect for being different. Why it's offensive: It promotes bullying with lyrics such as "All of the other reindeer/Used to laugh and call him names/They never let poor Rudolph/Play in any reindeer games." The 1964 stop-motion film in particular has come under fire for its bullying of Rudolph by the other reindeer, and especially from his father, Donner, who forces Rudolph to wear a fake nose. Hermey is made fun of by other elves for his desire to become a dentist. In a reprise version, the gender roles are swapped, so maybe it's not about gender at all. In the 1949 musical "Neptune's Daughter," a couple performs the song traditionally with the man insisting the woman stay. The author proposes that the woman is exercising her sexual agency in a patriarchal society. The woman wonders multiple times what her sister and maiden aunt might think tomorrow if she stays. A Tumblr post from 2016 posits a feminist defense: it's the 1940s and the woman is at her date's house, unchaperoned, which was not what "good girls" did back then. The song, which was written in 1944 by Frank Loesser as a song he and his wife could sing at parties, is a jovial back and forth that should not be taken seriously. Why it's great: It's a harmless flirtation. The man responds with "Mind if I move in closer?" and "Gosh your lips look delicious," which come off to some as creepy and unwanted behavior. The woman sings "I ought to say 'No, no, no, sir'," expressing clearly she wants to go, and "Say, what's in this drink?" sounds like a red flag that there's something in the drink that shouldn't be there. Those in favor of banning the song insist that the woman in the song tries multiple times to leave, while the man pushes her to stay. Why it's offensive: Some say it promotes date rape culture. Here are some well-known festive songs and why they could be considered inappropriate - and why some people still consider them beloved classics. Take a closer look at some of these lyrics, and you might not think they're as holly jolly, very merry, walking-in-a-winter-wonderland as they seem. Radio stations across the country and in Canada have started banning the track this season in the wake of the #MeToo movement. Is "Baby, It's Cold Outside" an offensive Christmas song? The debate continues to rage and divide people all over the country. Size for the grid Title, Axes Titles, and Axes Numbers. Whether you set up a live or a spring-loaded trap, the first step is to locate the active tunnels. Remove it and the mole after it’s been triggered, or try a different tunnel if it hasn’t been triggered after several days. Follow the manufacturer’s directions to arm the trap, then cover it with a 5-gallon bucket to keep kids and pets away. However, the most effective, time-tested method is to set up a spring-loaded prong or choker-loop trap that is activated when the mole pushes against it.įor the spring trap, flatten an area of the tunnel slightly bigger than the base of the trap and set the trap over it. The mole will fall in, and then you can take it to a new location. Pack the dirt around the edge of the bucket, then cover the hole with sod or plywood so you can check the hole daily. To set up a live trap, dig a hole at the tunnel deep enough to set a 2- to 5-gallon bucket below the level of the tunnel. Livetrapping moles by setting a deep bucket under an active tunnel is sometimes effective. The population density of moles is generally no more than three per acre, so catching even one might take care of the problem. However, if you can’t, you’ll have to do some DIY pest control methods to trap or remove them. If you can live with them, they generally won’t cause any serious, long-term damage to your yard. To their credit, moles do a good job of aerating the soil and controlling Japanese beetle larvae and other harmful bugs, and they don’t eat flowers or plants. Tunneling as fast as a foot per minute under the sod, one mole can make an average yard look like an army invaded it. Moles can eat their weight in worms and grubs every day, so they find healthy, well-watered lawns-which are full of worms and grubs-very attractive. Mice can pass disease to humans through their waste. TIP: Before you sweep up mouse droppings, always spray them with a disinfectant spray such as Lysol. Place them back-to-back with the open doors on each end. Live traps are best used in pairs in the same manner as conventional mousetraps. Favorite baits of professional exterminators are chocolate syrup and peanut butter. While mice can jump over one trap, they can’t jump two. The best technique is to set two traps, parallel to the wall, with the triggers facing out. For an average-size house, two dozen mousetraps would not be too many. Place snap traps along walls in areas where you’ve seen the telltale brown pellets. Mice have poor vision and prefer to feel their way along walls. And because you toss the remains in the garbage, there are no dead mouse surprises to encounter later.Ĭommon mistakes with do it yourself pest control are poor placement of traps and using too few of them. Snap traps may seem cruel, but compared with a slow death from a glue trap or poisoned bait, they’re a more humane way to exterminate mice. Snap-type mousetraps, when well placed, can be an effective way to rid your house of mice. If the paper is still in place after a few days, the raccoons have left.
